About Us
Switch! It Up's Story
At Switch! It Up, we believe that every person — child or adult — deserves access to tools that support independence, joy, and dignity. Our business was born out of love for our son Isaac, whose journey with complex medical needs inspired us to create accessible, switch-adapted toys for children like him. But our mission quickly grew beyond just play.
Our Founders
We’re Cheyenne and Johnna Holliday, spouses, partners, and professionals with a passion for inclusion. Cheyenne is a Licensed Practical Nurse and experienced special needs caregiver who has spent years working not only with children, but also with older adults and individuals with limited dexterity and mobility. Johnna holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and has served as a Pediatric Home Care Administrator, supporting medically complex children and their families. She recently has gone back to her roots though and is working with kiddos again, face-to-face, in a local Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Our work is deeply personal, but it’s also grounded in a broader movement. Cheyenne found inspiration in Makers Making Change, a community dedicated to building accessible, low-cost assistive technology. Their work sparked a deeper purpose in us—to create affordable, adaptive products not just for play, but for everyday life. That’s why Switch! It Up offers more than just switch-adapted toys; we also design tools and assistive devices that can make daily routines easier for people with physical challenges. Please feel free to reach out with any custom needs or devices that can make your lives and the lives of your loved ones more enjoyable and accessible. We'd love to help however we can!

To keep our products affordable and accessible to as many families as possible, we proudly use secondhand toys that are given new life through adaptation. Every toy is carefully selected, thoroughly cleaned, and inspected before being adapted in-house by either Cheyenne or Johnna. This not only reduces waste and promotes sustainability, but also allows us to keep costs low—so more children can enjoy the benefits of inclusive play without the high price tag. Our secondhand toys include our Linkimals collection as well as all of our adapted Fisher Price toys.

From kids with disabilities to adults with limited dexterity, we’re here to support independence, accessibility, and inclusion—one device at a time. When you support Switch! It Up, you’re not just purchasing a product. You’re helping us build a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
